This year Paryushan Mahaparva is from 15th August - 22nd August 2020 and Das Lakshan Mahaparva is from 23rd August- 1st September 2020.
We are pleased to provide you the details of the Paryushan and Das Laxan Parva programs.
This year due to COVID-19 Pandemic, our programs and rituals have been carefully decided keeping additional safety for our JCGB members as the utmost priority.

Please note : If you feel that you are more susceptible to the Covid -19 virus, then please refrain from visiting the temple.
All the activities will be displayed live - you can take labh of this via our Zoom Sessions.

Daily Chandan Pooja/Pakshal:

  • There will be Daily Chandan Pooja/Pakshal  from 8 am to 9 am during Paryushan. We will be allowing 3 families only from the Sangh.
  • There will be Daily Abhishek/Pakshal from 9 am to 10am during Das Lakshan.We will be allowing 3 families only from the Sangh.
  • Members need to reserve their slot using the RSVP system.

Daily Pooja/Chaityavandan,Darshan during Paryushan/Das Lakshan:

  • Members will have the opportunity to do daily Chandan Pooja/Chaityavandan/Darshan in the auditorium and darshan and chaitya vandan in the main gabhara between 9.00am- 11.00am during Paryushan and 10am-12 noon during Das Lakshan.
  • During these allocated Puja slot time frames, members will perform puja to Shantinath Bhagwan in the auditorium. 
  • We will allow 3 families at a time for 15 minutes only in each slot. Members will need to reserve their slot using the RSVP system.

Paryushan Mahaparva Chandan Puja/Darshan - 9am - 11am

Das Lakshan Mahaparva Darshan- 10am - 12 noon

Das Lakshan Mahaparva Puja - 10am - 12 noon

  • Sangh members will need to cooperate with the volunteers, who will guide and control the flow of people to ensure social distancing.
  • Members must wear Face Mask while inside the Derasar.(Please note that masks will not be provided.) For Puja rituals, washing of hands/sanitizing hands before entering the Deraser is required..
  • Please bring your own puja samagri to avoid contact with the items which are potential to spread virus. We will NOT have Dhoop, Deep, Chamar, Mirror available for members to use. Do NOT bring perishable fruit or sweets for rituals.
  • Please come in Pooja clothes as washrooms will not be open for shower. Also there will be no Changing rooms available.
  • After each Puja slot, volunteers will clean objects with disinfectant which were touched  by previous Sangh Members 

Daily Lectures:

We will be having daily lectures during the auspicious days of Paryushan and Das Lakshan.

Due to Corona Virus our Jain Scholars Shri Bhadrabahuji and Bramchariji Anuji  could not come to USA and to our Jain center. But fortunately Shri Bhadrabahuji has accepted our request to do Pravchans virtually for Paryushan Parv. With great effort with Scholars committee members and NY Jain Center we will be bringing live virtual Pravachans by Muniji Pramaan Sagarji Maharajji and Shri Maheshji Jain. Please see the details of thePravachans timing and associated Pravachan subjects disclosed in the links.
Shri Bhadrabahuji Pravachans will be in Gujarati. Shri Maheshji and Munishri Pravachans will be in Hindi.

Daily Evening Pratikraman, or Samvatsari Pratikraman:

  • Unfortunately there will NOT be any Daily Sangh Pratikraman at JCGB this year.
  • We may not be able to accomodate large crowds for Pratikaman at this point of time and hence we decided not to conduct Pratikraman or Samvatsari at JCGB during Paryushan or Das Lakshan Parvas.
  • If there are any changes, we will keep all informed. We will also email the links for the pratikamans as we finalize the detail.

Swamivatsalaya/Ekasana/Beshna or Sangh Parna:

  • There will NOT be any Sangh Ekasana/Beshna or  Swamivatsalaya Lunch/Dinner during Paryushan or Das Lakshan.
  • There will NOT be any Sangh Parna during Paryushan or Das Lakshan at the temple.

Pathshala Pooja on August 30th: 

  • We will have our Pathshala Combined Pooja via Zoom Session on August 30th at 10am.
  • We will be sending the Zoom link shortly.
  • Online English Pratikraman by Pathshala Teacher on August 22nd at 6.30pm. Details to follow.

Daily Arti and Mangal Divo:

  • We will l be having daily Arti and Mangal divo at 8.00pm during Paryushan and 7.00pm during Das Lakshan.
